The kitchen (often called the heart of the home) is one of the rooms in your house that will be naturally filled with a number of smells during the day. From grocery items in the kitchen cupboard to food preparation on the kitchen table, odours will linger long after the work is done. So, although the idea of adding an artificial fragrance seems futile, it’s actually a very good idea and means that you can control the smells that come from your kitchen.

    Fruity Flavours

To cut through food smells at the kitchen table (good and bad), you should choose a kitchen candle containing a citrus fruit fragrance, such as an orange or lemon. These scents will keep your kitchen smelling fresh whilst also creating a calming atmosphere. It’s best to use appetising aromas that are not too overpowering, but more subtle and natural like herbs and soft spices to take you right through from breakfast to dinner.

    Breakfast Bouquets

Start your morning right with the scent of sweet cereals like Florin and Grace’s Froot Loops fragrance kitchen candle or the rich smell of your First Coffee, or say Bonjour to a new day with the perfume of juicy pears and cinnamon (the perfect addition to a pancake breakfast). Elume’s Coconut Vanilla Bean diffuser will warm an early riser, or if you just need something subtle to wake up to, you can’t go past their Natural Wonder Unscented Tealights.

    An Evening Night Cap

There’s nothing better than pouring yourself a cheeky glass after spending the afternoon in the kitchen preparing dinner, but if you’d prefer to enjoy the sensation without the effects, choose an alcohol infused kitchen candle instead. Florin and Grace have two options - Wine O'Clock and Happy Hour – or for something less punchy, try Ecoya’s Juniper Berry & Mint Maisy Jar Candle. With zesty citrus notes of grapefruit, lemon and Tahitian lime plus a pinch of rhubarb tea, it’s a powerful and pleasant perfume designed to refresh your kitchen after a long day.
