CANDLE CARE

1. For the first light, make sure you leave it lit for a minimum two hours or until the wax has melted all the way across the top of the candle. This is to ensure that the candle won't tunnel. (Tunnelling means that a crater forms stopping you from having a long lasting candle).

2, Make sure you trim your wick before each use to 5mm-6mm. You can use scissors or nail clippers or a specialised wick trimmer. Trimmed wicks will give you a cleaner, brighter burn.

The ECOYA wick trimmer ensures your candle is perfectly trimmed to 6mm (0.24"). In order to get the most out of your ECOYA candle, ensure you trim the wick before every lighting.

Our quality wick trimmers are crucial for candle care.  It will not only keep your candles looking beautiful but most importantly will give you a safer, cleaner and slower burn. 

Simply place the base of the trimmer on the surface of the wax and snip. This will keep your wick at 7mm ready for a clean and slower burn. To care for your trimmer use warm soapy water to remove any wax or wick waste.

Made with natural lead-free cotton wicks and the highest quality non-toxic soy blend wax for a burn that is pure and intensely fragrant. No Parabens. No Silicones. No PEGs.

Trim wicks to 7mm before each use using scissors or a wick trimmer. If wicks are too short the wax may not burn all the way to the edge (tunneling), and if too long the wicks may appear to mushroom causing black soot to form on the glass. Place candle in a non-draughty area, away from small children, pets and flammable material. Do not burn for less than one hour or more than four hours at a time.
